Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SQL clustering and database environments
- Implement backup, restoration, and replication strategies for database management
- Monitor database systems, perform capacity planning, and maintain data integrity
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of database infrastructure and processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; or three years of relevant experience in lieu of each year of education
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server on Azure/PostgreSQL administration
- Availability to work on a rotating shift schedule to provide 24/7 support
- Strong analytic skills and experience with database performance tuning
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with tools like Qlik Attunity, SolarWinds DPA, and Delphix
- Knowledge of PowerShell programming
- Familiarity with backup and restore tools such as EMC Networker and CommVault
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions
- Strong communication and analytical skills
