Job summary

Eastwall, LLC is hiring an Azure Solution Architect to lead presales and delivery of modern Azure solutions for clients in the United States. You will work with executive leadership and channel sales to design, architect, sell, and implement Azure services that drive business outcomes.

The role blends technical leadership, customer interaction, and delivery, with travel up to 20% across the continental US and a base salary of $145,000–$175,000. Fully remote, with competitive benefits and bonuses.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure cloud solutions with data tooling.
• 2+ years in presales, solution architecture, SOWs, and co-owning sales pipeline.
• Experience across consultative or engineering roles with multiple clients.
• Familiarity with dimensional/semantic modeling, ETL, and lakehouse concepts.
• Understanding of high availability, DR patterns, and analytics platforms.

About the Job

The Azure Solution Architect is a customer-facing mid-to-senior-level (depending on experience) technical presales & delivery role. This role will work directly with Executive Leadership & Channel Sales to design, architect, sell, and implement modern Azure solutions that accelerate customer business & industry outcomes. Upon selling an engagement, the Azure Solution Architect will transition the project into delivery, ensuring success project kickoff and execution of the customer vision.

What You’ll Do

• Directly engage with customers & Microsoft individually or as part of a technical sales team on presales scoping calls, proposal development, and written statements of work (SOWs).
• Oversee and advise on the implementation of the customer’s Azure platform or on-premises systems, translating business and industry outcomes into technical solutions.
• Demonstrate technical leadership through personally implemented architectures, project methodologies, and Azure services with engineering after an engagement is sold.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customer technology & business leadership for thought leadership and solution approaches.
• Extract business requirements from customers and translate them into well-architected recommendations in line with Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF).
• Develop and provide forward-looking guidance and future state roadmaps.
• Leverage known best practices and solutions to reduce risk to customer implementations and standardize Eastwall’s presales and delivery approach.
• Collaborate with Eastwall executive, sales, and delivery teams to ensure customer alignment to Eastwall, Microsoft, and Customer goals as part of our “Three legs of the stool” approach.

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure cloud solutions such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Warehousing, or other comparable Azure data tools. Candidates without direct technical experience on Azure should not apply.
• At least 2 years of experience with presales responsibilities related to proposal development, solution architecture, statement of work authoring, and co-owning of technical sales pipeline with a direct sales team.
• Experience in a consultative role or engineering role working with multiple clients concurrently at any given time is required.
• Experience in developing dimensional & semantic data models, extract transform and load (ETL) patterns, and familiarity with Lakehouse design concepts.
• Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery principles, patterns and applications for data solutions.
• Experience with unified data analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Experience supporting production applications or workloads, being able to performance test and troubleshoot related issues.
• Experience in any cloud AI/ML services or development in notebooks (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
• Experience in a consultative role or an engineering role working with more than one client environment at any given time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing & PowerPoint presentations.

New hires in this role may be required to complete one or more of the below certifications within the first 3-to-6 months of hire (paid for in full by Eastwall):

• Exam DP-600: Microsoft Fabric Engineering Associate

This is a client-facing, heavily technical management consulting role that involves day-to-day client interaction in presales and delivery, with up to 50% billable utilization.

This role will travel within the continental United States up to 20%, at times monthly.

The base salary range for this role is $145,000-$175,000.

This will be an individual contributor role and will be remote. No relocation is necessary or provided.
