Job summary

Motion Recruitment seeks an Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to support and enhance large-scale Azure hosting environments, including AKS and ASE. You will focus on cloud operations, platform stability, and automation, partnering with engineers and leadership across cloud and on-premises environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience supporting public cloud and on-premises technologies.
• 3+ years with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Service Environment (ASE), and Azure Landing Zones.
• 3+ years with Terraform and GitHub.
• 3+ years with Python or comparable scripting/automation experience.
• 2+ years with Grafana, KQL, and JQL.
• Experience supporting production-scale cloud and application hosting environments.
• Strong incident management, change management, platform troubleshooting, and operational support.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain large-scale Azure hosting environments with AKS and ASE.
• Lead or participate in complex, broad-impact cloud infrastructure initiatives.
• Provide L2/L3 production support and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, platform stability, automation, and efficiency.
• Drive toil-reduction initiatives and self-service capabilities.
• Perform incident management, RCA, change management, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and leadership on platform improvements.
• Develop and maintain IaC to streamline provisioning and operations.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other engineers.
