Job summary

KellyMitchell Group seeks a Cloud Engineer - Platform Engineering (Azure) to join our client-facing team for Azure-based infrastructure automation and production support. Hybrid work model with multiple hub locations in the US is expected.

You will design IaC pipelines, provision cloud resources with Terraform, and collaborate with application teams to resolve platform issues. Prior experience in Azure, Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience deploying and running large applications on Azure Public Cloud.
• Production experience with Terraform and Ansible automation workflows.
• Strong background creating automation loops with GitLab runners and GitLab CI/CD.
• Solid troubleshooting of VNETs, route tables, NSGs, firewalls, routing, and load balancers.
• Experience configuring Azure Data Factory, Purview, Azure Storage, and Azure Key Vault (AKV).
• Knowledge of application security best practices, cryptography, threat protection, and Kubernetes clusters.

Responsibilities

• Create and provision cloud infrastructure in Azure CSP using Terraform and Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Design and build IaC pipelines using GitLab runners and convert ADO pipelines into Terraform frameworks.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze requirements, implement changes, and troubleshoot platform issues.
• Build VM images with Packer and deploy, monitor, and support Azure VMs, Scale Sets, and Load Balancers.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot operational errors.
• Manage Jira tasks and ServiceNow change requests.
• Provide off-hours weekly release support.
