Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies, a technology consulting and software development firm delivering cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States, invites an experienced Azure Platform Engineer. You will design, deploy, and operate large-scale, secure Azure platforms, owning the end-to-end cloud engineering lifecycle from architecture to operational excellence for production workloads.

The role requires 6+ years of cloud engineering with deep Azure expertise, IaC proficiency, AKS

Qualifications

• Five+ years of cloud engineering experience in production.
• Production-level experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
• Experience designing and operating AKS clusters at scale.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD through Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python for automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end cloud engineering lifecycle on Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate with application development, security, and SRE teams to deliver compliant cloud-native solutions.
• Implement security hardening and cost optimization for production workloads.
• Develop observability and monitoring across distributed workloads.
• Write maintainable automation code using IaC and scripting.
• Document architecture, operations, and incident response procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud platform issues
• Lead tech discussions and provide guidance on Azure services.

Job Title: Azure Platform Engineer
Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)
Position Type: Full-time, Direct W2
Salary Range: $133,000–$158,000 Annually

We are seeking a skilled Azure Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and operate large-scale, secure, and resilient cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure. In this role you will own the end-to-end cloud engineering lifecycle, including architecture, infrastructure-as-code, automation, security hardening, cost optimization, observability, and ongoing operational excellence for production workloads. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise across Azure services with strong DevOps engineering practices, and will partner closely with application development, security, and SRE teams to deliver cloud-native solutions that meet demanding business requirements for scalability, reliability, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Five or more years of cloud engineering experience, with at least three years focused on Microsoft Azure in production environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure core services, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and platform‑as‑a‑service offerings.
• Production‑level experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Solid experience designing and operating Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters at scale.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD across infrastructure and applications.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python, with the ability to write maintainable automation code.
• Deep understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability strategies across distributed workloads.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
• Experience operating hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments spanning Azure and on‑premises infrastructure.
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd on AKS.
• Exposure to FinOps practices and cloud cost‑management tooling.
• Experience with regulated environments such as HIPAA, PCI‑DS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP.
