Job summary

Edgewater Federal Solutions seeks a DevOps Platform Engineer to support a major national laboratory. You will implement, maintain, patch, and automate cloud and containerized services across Azure and OpenShift, building CI/CD pipelines and IaC templates to enable reliable deployments.

The role requires strong problem-solving and communication, ability to work with cross-functional teams in a remote setup, and willingness for onsite collaboration in Albuquerque and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• BS in a relevant discipline with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.
• US Citizen required.
• Candidate must reside in the Albuquerque area as some onsite work is required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and patch Azure-hosted web services based on architecture diagrams and approved patterns.
• Manage OpenShift services, deployments, routes, secrets/configuration, and Helm-based releases.
• Support maintenance activities including restarts, certificate updates, vulnerability remediation, and patch validation.
• Build and maintain automation for deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and operational processes.
• Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Azure and OpenShift environments.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code templates and reusable automation patterns.
• Automate container build and deployment workflows.
• Troubleshoot automation and platform issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Document standards and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
