Job summary

Applied Information Sciences is seeking an Azure/M365 Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Engineer to ensure dependable day-to-day operations, monitoring, change implementation, and incident response for Azure and Microsoft 365 services delivered to customers.

You will monitor identity, networking, compute, storage, collaboration, governance, and platform monitoring components; investigate incidents; implement changes; and support runbooks, dashboards, and reports.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Azure, Microsoft 365, or enterprise cloud operations.
• Experience with Entra ID, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure networking, and M365 administration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across identity, network, endpoint, and application service layers.
• Experience working in ticketing, change-control, and knowledge-management processes.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with users and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain Azure and M365 services, including identity, networking, compute, storage, collaboration, governance, and platform monitoring components.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, recurring problems, and performance issues in accordance with agreed service levels.
• Implement approved changes, maintain configuration documentation, and support release and maintenance activities.
• Perform backup, recovery, access, health-check, and capacity-management activities as assigned.
• Create and refine runbooks, knowledge articles, dashboards, and operational reports.
• Work closely with project teams during service transition and early-life support.

• Core Knowledge & Skills: Applies fundamentals of networking, OS administration (Windows/Linux), basic cloud concepts, scripting (PowerShell/Bash), Git, and IaC; performs routine installs, updates, backups, monitoring, and documented troubleshooting under guidance.

At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $77,000-$117,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
