Job summary

VOLTO Consulting in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Edge Computing Architect for Industrial OT solutions. You will lead design and deployment of end-to-end edge compute platforms, integrate with SCADA/PLCs, and deliver edge-based computer vision use cases for oil and gas operations.

The role requires 10–15 years in Industrial OT edge computing and AI solutions, with hands-on architecture experience in edge AI and industrial IoT, plus acoustics analytics for industrial equipment.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years experience in Industrial OT Edge Computing and AI solutions.
• Design end-to-end OT edge compute solutions for upstream fields, pipelines and refineries.
• Design and deploy edge-based computer vision solutions for industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end OT edge computing solutions for upstream fields, pipelines, refineries, etc.
• Design edge-to-cloud architectures and integrate edge platform with SCADA/PLCs.
• Develop computer vision use cases for oil and gas including leak detection, flare monitoring, PPE compliance.
• Deploy edge-based computer vision solutions for hydrocarbon gas/liquid leak detection and safety monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity guardrails in industrial environments.

Experience Required:

Responsibilities:

• Architect endtoend OT edge computing solutions for upstream fields pipelines refineries etc
• Design edgetocloud architectures and Integrate edge platform with SCADA PLCs etc
• 2 Computer Vision Oil Gas Use Cases
• Design and deploy edgebased computer vision solutions for
  • Hydrocarbon gas and liquid leak detection
  • Flame smoke and flare monitoring
  • Safety PPE compliance in hazardous areas
• 3 Ensure compliance with cybersecurity guardrails

Required Skills Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Designing solutions for Edge Compute and OT
• Handson architecture experience with edge AI and industrial IoT
• Acoustic signal analytics experience for industrial equipment

Preferred to have

• Prior experience in Oil Gas digital transformation or Industry 40 programs
• Exposure to offshore platforms or pipeline operations
