Job summary

Halvik is seeking an Azure Engineer to evaluate, architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure using DevSecOps practices. The role is on-site in Washington, DC, Monday through Friday, with responsibilities spanning cost optimization, governance, and secure cloud design.

You will collaborate with NTIA ITD and security teams to implement Zero Trust, RBAC, and FED/NIST-aligned controls while guiding cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in cloud, 4+ years in DevOps/platform engineering/automation/CI/CD.
• Hands-on with Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps (Server/Services).
• Familiar with VM, storage, networking, security, monitoring in Azure.
• Certifications preferred (Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or equivalent).
• Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select Azure services to support enterprise workloads.
• Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure in Azure.
• Embed Zero Trust, identity governance, and threat protection in designs.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and infra teams for architectural consistency.
• Provide architectural oversight for cloud migration and modernization projects.
• Monitor and optimize cloud spend using Azure Cost Management and Advisor.
