Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Azure DevOps Site Reliability Engineer to design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will enable reliable software delivery, automate operations, and support mission-critical transportation and logistics applications.

You will lead CI/CD pipelines, manage Azure infrastructure, automate deployments with PowerShell and IaC, and ensure platform reliability with observability tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and release management.
• Strong experience with Azure cloud services and Windows Server/IIS.
• Proficient with PowerShell for automation and IaC practices.
• SQL Server administration, SSIS data integration, and ETL support.
• Experience with IBM MQ and messaging infrastructure.
• Knowledge of security governance and observability practices.
• Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform/ARM templates.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps.
• Manage Azure infrastructure, compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Automate deployment and operations using PowerShell and IaC.
• Monitor performance, reliability, and deployment health.
• Administer Windows Server and IIS environments.
• Oversee SQL Server performance, backups, and recovery.
• Support SSIS ETL processes and data integration workflows.
• Administer IBM MQ environments and messaging services.
• Embed security controls and quality checks throughout delivery.
• Develop reusable infrastructure templates and runbooks.
• Lead incident response and troubleshooting; document procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability.
