Job summary

Cognizant is hiring an Azure DevOps Site Reliability Engineer to design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will enable reliable software delivery, automate operations, and support mission-critical transportation and logistics apps.

You will design CI/CD pipelines, manage Azure infrastructure, automate deployments with PowerShell and IaC, and monitor platform health.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
Strong experience administering Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
Hands-on expertise with Azure services including virtual machines, networking, storage, security, and monitoring.
Experience automating infrastructure and operational processes using PowerShell.
Strong understanding of Azure security, governance, and cloud best practices.
Experience supporting Windows Server and IIS environments in enterprise settings.
Proven SQL Server administration experience, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Experience supporting SSIS and enterprise data integration processes.
Knowledge of IBM MQ administration and messaging infrastructure support.
Experience with SonarQube or similar code quality and security scanning platforms.
Strong understanding of DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, automation, monitoring, and IaC principles.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support enterprise application delivery.
Manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, security, monitoring, and governance services.
Automate deployment, configuration, and operational activities using PowerShell and IaC.
Monitor application performance, deployment health, and platform reliability through observability tools.
Administer and support Windows Server environments and IIS web applications.
Manage SQL Server environments, including performance tuning and backup/recovery.
Support and maintain SSIS ETL processes and data integration workflows.
Administer IBM MQ environments, including queue management and troubleshooting.
Integrate security controls and compliance validations across the software delivery lifecycle.
Create reusable infrastructure templates and operational runbooks.
