Responsibilities

• Develop architectures supporting modernization of legacy applications across various tech stacks, recommending suitable modernization strategies based on future goals.
• Design and architect scalable, resilient, and cloud-native solutions aligned with industry best practices and DIR guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system architects, and others to ensure successful modernization and migration.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and promote best practices, code quality, and adherence to standards.
• Deep understanding of cloud migration methodologies and best practices.
• Design and implement cloud migration strategies using innovative technologies.
• Work with stakeholders to develop solutions that meet scalability, security, performance, and agility goals.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies for modernization projects.
• Lead activities like POCs or prototypes to drive migration/modernization efficiencies.
• Manage architecture governance, standards, patterns, and strategies.
• Research and evaluate new solutions and technologies to enhance operations, reduce costs, and increase speed to market.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and provide hands-on assistance during implementation.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Strategic, innovative leadership within a tech organization.
• Experience with AWS implementations and architecture.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and services.
• Experience bridging legacy and modern stacks, on-premises and cloud.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
• Understanding of Oracle services.
• Awareness of current technology and business trends for cost-effective problem-solving.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and partnership-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to articulate solutions clearly.
• Experience with ServiceNOW.
