Job summary

Alight Solutions seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and scale cloud infrastructure and CI/CD for healthcare applications. You will work with Azure, AWS, Terraform, and YAML-based pipelines, contributing to security, compliance, and reliability across distributed services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience.
• At least 3 years hands-on experience with Azure and AWS.
• Experience with YAML-based pipelines (multi-stage, templates, variables, environments).
• Proficient with Azure DevOps and GitHub/GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Proficient in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with Cosmos DB, Kubernetes platforms (AKS/EKS) or GitOps tools (Argo CD/Flux).
• Experience with observability tools: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, New Relic, CloudWatch.
• Post-secondary education in CS or related field (4 years).
• Certifications such as AZ-104 and AZ-400.

Responsibilities

• Implement and govern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Ensure SOC 2, HIPAA, and security standards with CheckMarx, SonarQube.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and reliability across cloud services.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and audit teams for ongoing assessments.
• Deliver deployments during weekend release windows; participate in on-call rotation.
• Enforce engineering standards and participate in design reviews.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term fixes.

Seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and scale cloud infrastructure and CI/CD capabilities supporting healthcare applications and services. hands-on expertise across Azure, AWS infrastructure automation with Terraform, YAML-based pipelines, and DevOps platforms such as Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub.

Key Responsibilities

• Implementing and governing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including modules, state management, and CI enforcement.
• Driving compliance alignment across DevOps processes to meet SOC 2, HIPAA, and using CheckMarx, SonarQube internal security standards, focusing on access control, auditability, and PHI safeguards.
• Automating deployment, monitoring, and operational reliability across distributed cloud services, familiar with containerized workloads is a plus.
• Collaborating with security, compliance, and audit teams to support continuous monitoring, evidence gathering, and security assessments.
• Delivering infrastructure and application deployments during weekend release windows as required; participate in an on-call rotation.
• Enforcing and contributing to engineering standards, best practices, and technical design reviews.
• Troubleshooting and remediate complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.
• Includes weekend work for planned releases and on-call rotations

Requirements

• 3+ years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience, with at least 3 years hands on experience in both Azure and AWS.
• Demonstrate expertise with YAML-based pipelines (multi-stage, reusable templates, variable groups, environments).
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub/GitHub Actions for CI/CD, repository management, and pipelines governance.
• Proficiency abilities using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Demonstrate expertise with Azure Cosmo DB, Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS), or GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux).
• Maintain experience with observability tools such as Azure Application Insight, New Relic, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch
• Have completed a program of study typically requiring four years of post-secondary education or higher educational attainment in Computer Science or technical related field.
• Have certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400

Salary Pay Range

Minimum : 120,000.00 USD

Maximum : 145,000.00 USD
