Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an Azure DevOps Engineer to build and secure scalable Azure infrastructure. You will automate deployments, implement DevSecOps controls, and support AI-enabled solutions across enterprise apps and data platforms.

You will work with software engineers, security, and architecture to improve pipelines, governance, and platform reliability. A hybrid work model applies in this role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud operations.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Bash.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and support secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure for enterprise apps, data platforms, and AI solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve speed, reliability, and security of deployments.
• Implement security controls within delivery pipelines including scanning, policy enforcement, and secrets management.
• Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, and engineering teams on identity, access, network security, and governance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infra, deployment, and security issues; perform root-cause analysis.
• Promote cloud-native engineering practices and reusable automation across teams.
