Job summary

Building Service 32BJ Benefit Funds is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize the organization’s Azure and on-premises environments. The role focuses on architecture, development, deployment, automation, security, and seamless integrations across systems.

The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years of hands-on Azure experience, strong DevOps pipeline design, and scripting skills. You will collaborate with IT, Development, and Data teams and support after-hours tasks when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1-3+ years hands-on experience with Azure Infrastructure and development solutions.
• 1-3+ years designing DevOps pipelines, automations, and monitoring of cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Solid experience with DevOps implementations, migrations and upgrades within the Microsoft Azure suite.
• Deep understanding of Azure Kubernetes Service with container-based development skills (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, GKE).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and concepts (Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Azure DevOps).
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Groovy, JavaScript, Golang).
• Knowledge of APIs, SDKs, integration methods, and cloud security principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to work in a high-demand environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop deployment automation to enable a fully functional Azure cloud stack.
• Build, migrate, and test Azure environments and integrations.
• Automate infrastructure, development, deployment, and operations tasks.
• Create automated release tools for continuous build and release.
• Monitor cloud-based systems for performance, reliability, and cost.
• Incorporate security controls into DevOps pipelines.
• Set up multi-level network environments in Azure and provision resources.
• Develop best practices to control cloud usage costs.
• Provide after-hours support when needed.
• Assist IT, Development, and Data teams with cloud management and troubleshooting.
