About the role

As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will make an impact by playing a critical role in accelerating our software delivery lifecycle, improving system reliability, and ensuring secure, scalable infrastructure. Your contributions will directly support the development of innovative solutions in healthcare and insurance, helping us deliver better outcomes for clients and end-users. By automating processes, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring compliance, you will empower teams to move faster and more efficiently, making a measurable difference in our technology operations. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team and work collaboratively with the Senior Manager.

In this role, you will
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Services.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and integration tasks.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across environments.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards in healthcare IT.
  • Maintain documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes.

What you need to have to be considered
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a DevOps role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Services, Python, and Terraform.
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (preferred).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), monitoring tools, and logging frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
These will help you stand out
  • Azure DevOps Engineer Expert Certification.
  • Experience in healthcare or insurance IT environments.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards such as HIPAA.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until September 29, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $114,000 - $133,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
