Job summary

Experient Group in Roswell, GA (on-site 3–4 days/week) seeks a hands-on DevOps Engineer to automate infrastructure, manage cloud deployments, and monitor applications for client engagements.

You will collaborate with client teams, implement IaC using Terraform and Azure DevOps, mentor peers, and help shape scalable systems that deliver reliable customer experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and automation.
• Familiar with IaC practices using Terraform.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on role writing code to automate technology infrastructure, system management, and application monitoring.
• Configure Azure DBs, networks, and Terraform scripts; perform other IaC activities.
• Mentor engineers on SRE best practices and code hygiene.
• Update clients on progress, challenges and risks; design and maintain high-quality technology solutions.
• Boost team velocity by delivering high-quality code aligned with acceptance criteria.

What You'll Do

• This is a hands-on role where most of your time will be writing code assisting the client engineering team by automating technology infrastructure, system management, and application monitoring.
• Configuring Azure DBs, networks, and terraform scripts in addition to other infrastructure as code activities.
• Bring a level of Energy, drive, and ownership to knock down barriers and get things done.
• Work with clients designing, developing, and supporting systems.
• Look at the bigger picture; understand how the technology will fit within the client’s ecosystem and consider how the technology will impact people and processes.
• Mentor engineers on SRE best practices.
• Update the client on team progress, challenges, and risks.
• Design, build, and maintain high-quality technology solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Boost team velocity by developing and implementing quality code in line with Acceptance Criteria and Definition Of Done.
• Must be located in the Atlanta area. Sit co-located with the client physically in the office most days.

What You'll Bring

• 6+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• 2+ years of experience with ADO (Azure DevOps).
• Experience developing software in a cloud-based environment (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Terraform.
• Consulting experience or experience working with a client relationship.
• Positive attitude and an ability to work well on an exciting project with client and Experient Group team members.
• Maintain clean “code hygiene” and adhering to coding standards (formatting and documenting code, code merges with other engineer’s code).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for learning and a passion for solving business problems with technology.
• Experience working with APIs.
• Familiarity / experience with GIT.
• Strong, collaborative team player.
• Able to work independently.
