Job description

This is a fully remote position; however, occasional travel within the United States may be required.

Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Azure Agile Product Owner with a background in Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding the development of Azure-based solutions and services, ensuring they align with client requirements and business goals. This position requires deep expertise in Azure cloud technologies, agile methodologies, and MSP operations.

Responsibilities

1. Product Ownership: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, and translating them into a well-defined product backlog for Azure-based solutions and services.
2. Azure Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services, architectures, and best practices to guide the development and implementation of Azure solutions for clients.
3. MSP Experience: Leverage your MSP experience to ensure Azure solutions and services are designed, delivered, and managed with high service quality and efficiency, meeting SLAs.
4. Agile Methodologies: Apply Agile and Scrum principles to manage product development, work closely with cross-functional teams, and ensure sprint goals and timelines are met.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with clients, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to refine product features, prioritize user stories, and facilitate communication for successful project delivery.
6. Roadmap Development: Create and maintain a clear product roadmap aligned with client needs and business objectives, adapting as necessary based on changing requirements or market conditions.
7. Quality Assurance: Ensure solutions meet high-quality standards, defining acceptance criteria and conducting testing as needed.
8. Risk Management: Identify potential risks early and work proactively to mitigate them, focusing on delivering value to clients.
9. Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including user stories, feature descriptions, release notes, etc.
10. Continuous Improvement: Monitor product performance and gather feedback to drive continuous improvement and optimization of Azure solutions and services.
11. Other Responsibilities: As assigned by management.

Minimum Skills, Education, and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 8+ years of proven experience as a Product Owner in Azure cloud environments.
• A solid understanding of Managed Service Provider operations and best practices.

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• Understanding of MSP operations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in project management and Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
• Experience with Azure Cloud Network or similar DevOps tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards in Azure is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Starting compensation: $175,000/year
