Job summary

RightClick is seeking an Azure Development & DevOps Architect to embed hands-on architecture practices into how software is designed, built, and delivered. This hybrid role is based in New York, NY, requiring collaboration with Development and DevOps teams from the outset to translate requirements into durable technical designs.

You will lead modernization of on-prem workloads to Azure, guide build-vs-buy evaluations with a security-first lens, and advise on CI/CD, IaC, and deployment automation

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software, platform, or DevOps with hands-on Azure architecture.
• Deep experience with Azure app services, containers, serverless, and API Management.
• Experience migrating on-prem workloads to Azure.
• Strong DevOps fundamentals using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and IaC.
• Knowledge of Azure security and governance tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Development and DevOps teams as an embedded architect early in the design lifecycle.
• Lead refactoring and modernization of on-prem workloads to Azure.
• Guide project teams through build-vs-buy evaluations with a security-first lens.

Azure Development & DevOps Architect's Responsibilities And Duties

• Partner with Development and DevOps teams as an embedded architect early in the design lifecycle
• Lead refactoring and modernization of on‑premises workloads to Azure
• Guide project teams through build‑vs‑buy evaluations with a security‑first lens
• Facilitate Azure architecture reviews aligned to the Well‑Architected Framework

Azure Development & DevOps Architect's Qualifications And Skills

• At least 8 years of combined experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps, including hands‑on Azure architecture
• Deep experience with Azure app services, containers (AKS/Container Apps), serverless, and API Management
• Proven experience migrating on‑premises workloads to Azure
• Strong DevOps fundamentals using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure‑as‑code (Bicep/Terraform)
• Working knowledge of Azure security and governance tools (Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault)
