Job summary

The Infosys DNA unit seeks a Technology Consultant 2 to drive data engineering and analytics initiatives in the United States. You will design, implement, and optimize Azure-based data pipelines, BI reporting, and production-grade solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.

The role emphasizes end-to-end SDLC, code reviews, and continuous learning in a dynamic, global technology environment. Relocation/travel may be required, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data engineering, data warehousing, ETL/ELT development, or business intelligence.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics or Azure Data Warehouse, Python, SQL and T-SQL, Azure DevOps.
• Experience modernizing legacy ETL applications and moving data workloads to Azure.
• Strong SQL performance-tuning and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience developing production-grade data solutions with automated validation and monitoring.
• Experience working with SQL Server and Teradata environments.
• Familiarity with Power BI and enterprise reporting ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, CI/CD, code reviews, deployment, and production-support practices.
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Python, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects
