Job summary

Intone Inc. in St. Paul, MN, is seeking a data architect for a 12-month contract with remote or hybrid work arrangements. The role starts Sept 21, 2026 and ends Jun 21, 2027, with potential extensions.

You will design and implement Azure-based data lakes, Databricks, and relational/non-relational databases, ensuring secure, scalable data storage and efficient data access. Experience with data modeling and security controls is essential.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required

• Strong experience with designing, developing, and implementing data lakes and relational and non-relational databases in Azure.
• Strong experience with Databricks.
• Strong experience with Oracle databases.
• Experience developing and implementing data transformation solutions and cloud infrastructure integrations.
• Experience coding and testing programs and scripts to load data using Azure data load utilities.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud computing concepts.
• Experience with role-based access control, encryption, and network security.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred

• 10 or more years of experience in data architecture or data management.
• Experience with tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Data Factory, SQL Analytics, Query Performance Insight, Azure Resource Manager, Perl, and Azure CLI/PowerShell for infrastructure management.
• Experience mentoring others in the needed technologies.
• Knowledge of data concepts, data modeling, schema design, and indexing strategies.
• Knowledge of Azure SQL instances, managed instances, and elastic pools.
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse Administration and Teradata Data Warehouse.
