Job summary

Artifintech is seeking a senior database engineer to own cloud data warehousing, ETL development, and governance across Dev, QA, and production environments. You will architect Azure Database Services, optimize SQL data models, and automate tasks with PowerShell within an Agile framework.

The role emphasizes deep SQL skills, large-scale data management, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions in the cloud.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in database administration and enterprise data management.
• Deep expertise in Azure Database Services, SQL data modeling, and extensive ETL development.
• 8+ years of T-SQL development, stored procedures, and query optimization.
• 5 years of PowerShell scripting for automating database tasks.
• 5 years delivering database solutions within Azure DevOps and Scrum agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Cloud & Data Warehouse Engineering: serve as SME for the SLDS data warehouse; architect, migrate, and maintain Azure Database Services while aligning with CEDS standards.
• ETL Pipeline Development & Data Modeling: design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines; migrate legacy on-premise ETLs to cloud.
• Database Administration & Performance Tuning: model data, create DDL/DCL objects, monitor performance, and implement recovery procedures across environments.
• Infrastructure & Security Governance: upgrade DB server infra, monitor DR systems, enforce access controls and architectural standards.
• DevOps & Agile Delivery: use Azure DevOps and PowerShell; coordinate releases with developers and stakeholders.
