Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Data Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, FL to design, develop, and support reliable data pipelines for analytics and AI initiatives. The role focuses on Azure data services, including Fabric, OneLake, and Lakehouse architectures, with emphasis on scalable ETL/ELT processes and production reliability.

You will optimize SQL, build production pipelines, and implement data quality, logging, and recovery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering, data integration, or ETL/ELT experience.
• Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Hands-on experience building production data pipelines.
• Azure Data Factory experience.
• Azure SQL Database and/or SQL Server experience.
• Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and incremental loading.
• Experience troubleshooting production data workflows.
• Python and/or PySpark experience.
• Understanding of Git, code reviews, deployment practices, and CI/CD.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Develop integrations using Azure Data Factory.
• Support Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse and Warehouse environments.
• Optimize SQL queries, pipelines, data models, and storage.
• Monitor production pipelines and resolve failures.
• Implement data quality checks, logging, alerting, and recovery processes.
