Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an ETL Data Engineer to support the DC Government by designing and implementing complex data pipelines. The role requires strong ETL skills, cloud and on‑prem connectivity, and hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks.

The candidate will collaborate with multiple agencies to gather requirements, enforce data governance, and optimize data loading into landing layers and SQL databases. Washington, DC onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• Extensive ETL design, development, and optimization across enterprise data projects.
• Experience with cloud and on-premise data tooling and governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, implement, replicate, and support complex enterprise data projects.
• Interface with agencies and inform user departments on system requirements and constraints.
• Develop and enhance data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Informatica.
• Establish cloud and on-prem connectivity across ADLS, ADF, Synapse, Databricks.
• Automate, monitor, and manage data pipelines; ensure data accuracy and security.
