Job summary

Axiom Path is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer for a six-month hybrid contract based in Jersey City, NJ. The role focuses on building cloud-ready data solutions in Azure, including data pipelines, lake and enterprise data integrations, and Oracle Cloud Phase 3 initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of data engineering with hands-on Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Azure Databricks expertise, plus strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Strong experience with Azure SQL.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics is valuable.
• Experience with Azure Databricks is valuable.
• Understand modern data pipelines and data lakes.
• Awareness of data security, governance, and compliance.
• Azure certifications preferred where applicable.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies.
• Build and support data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Develop and maintain data solutions involving Azure SQL.
• Support data lake and enterprise data integration capabilities.
• Contribute to Oracle Cloud Phase 3 data initiatives involving multiple business entities.
• Ensure data solutions meet security, governance, reliability, and compliance.
• Collaborate with technology and business teams to support data movement and integration requirements.
