Responsibilities

• Assess the current Microsoft Azure environment to identify security risks, vulnerabilities, and configuration gaps.
• Review and prioritize Defender for Cloud recommendations to improve Azure Secure Score.
• Develop and execute remediation plans to strengthen the organization’s cloud security posture.
• Implement and optimize Azure security controls, configurations, and policies.
• Configure and manage IAM, RBAC, and Entra ID security settings.
• Leverage Azure Policy to enforce security standards, governance controls.
• Identify and remediate security misconfigurations across Azure resources and subscriptions.
• Monitor security improvements and report on Azure Secure Score progress.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud engineering, and cybersecurity teams to implement security best practices.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Security Engineer to assess, strengthen, and optimize the security posture of an enterprise Microsoft Azure environment. This individual will play a critical role in identifying security vulnerabilities, implementing remediation strategies, and improving the organization's overall Azure Secure Score.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Secure Score, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Policy, and cloud security best practices. This position requires someone who can independently evaluate an existing Azure environment, identify security gaps, and implement practical solutions to improve cloud security.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the current Microsoft Azure environment to identify security risks, vulnerabilities, and configuration gaps.
• Review and prioritize Microsoft Defender for Cloud recommendations to improve Azure Secure Score.
• Develop and execute remediation plans to strengthen the organization's overall cloud security posture.
• Implement and optimize Azure security controls, configurations, and policies.
• Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Microsoft Entra ID security settings.
• Leverage Azure Policy to enforce security standards, compliance requirements, and governance controls.

• Monitor security improvements, track remediation progress, and provide reporting on Azure Secure Score improvements.
