Job summary

Chambers and Partners is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to evolve our Azure cloud platform and drive engineering excellence. You will design, build, and optimise secure, scalable cloud solutions and empower software teams to ship faster and more reliably.

The role requires deep expertise in Terraform, IaC, GitOps, and Azure DevOps, plus hands-on experience with AWS, MLOps, and Kubernetes-based tooling. You’ll collaborate across teams to automate infrastructure and improve platform resilience.

Qualifications

Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform and cloud provisioning frameworks.
Experience building and maintaining automated, version-controlled infrastructure.
Production-grade GitFlow workflows and native CI/CD execution in Azure DevOps.
Hands-on design, deployment, securitization, and operation of cloud-native/hybrid solutions on AWS and Azure.
Strong incident response, troubleshooting of distributed systems, and escalation management.
Experience collaborating with external engineering providers on complex handoffs and support.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to document architectures clearly.
Hands-on knowledge of MLOps tooling (Kubernetes, Kubeflow, MLflow, Triton, Docker, SageMaker/Azure ML).

Responsibilities

Define, version, and manage multi-cloud infrastructure strictly via modular Terraform.
Enforce GitFlow branching strategies and automated deployment practices for infra changes.
Design, build, and maintain secure, high‑speed CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for code and ML workflows.
Lead incident response and resolution for critical platform outages.
Diagnose bottlenecks and network issues; implement permanent fixes to prevent recurrence.
Coordinate with external providers on troubleshooting and handoffs.
Document architectures and articulate requirements to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Architect and maintain MLOps platforms across AWS and Azure environments.
Build self‑service infrastructure tools and deployment templates for developer enablement.
