Job summary

Veriipro in Houston seeks a Cloud Platform Engineer to support Azure-hosted business applications and cloud platforms. You will manage Azure infrastructure, Windows Server, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and deployment pipelines.

Experience with GitHub Actions, Terraform, PowerShell, and CI/CD is essential to automate deployments, validation, and environment transitions. You will collaborate with developers, DBAs, security teams, and cloud engineers to ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years in cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
• 3+ years supporting Azure-hosted Windows and SQL-based applications.
• Experience delivering deployments, automation, and cloud platform improvements.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, upgrade, patch, and administer enterprise apps across environments.
• Support apps on Azure Windows Server VMs and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Ensure readiness, reliability, performance, security, and lifecycle management.
• Configure Windows services, IIS, tasks, certificates, and app components.
• Develop repeatable deployment, validation, cutover, rollback processes.
• Troubleshoot application, Windows, SQL, connectivity, and config issues.
• Monitor and optimize performance, capacity, and resource use.
• Collaborate with development, DB, security, cloud engineering, vendors, teams.
