Abbott seeks a Principal Architect to define the architecture strategy for a large, cloud-native platform on Microsoft Azure. You will lead multiple teams to ensure scalability, security, and reliability across microservices, web, mobile, IoT, and APIs.

You will drive standards, reference architectures, and governance while mentoring senior engineers and aligning technology with business goals. This role emphasizes architectural excellence and cross-functional collaboration.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, SE, CE, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years in software engineering with enterprise/cloud architecture.
• 6+ years designing cloud-native platforms on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience delivering large-scale SaaS across multiple business domains.
• Proven leadership of architecture for distributed systems (microservices, web/mobile, IoT).
• Expertise with Java Spring Boot REST APIs, GraphQL, event-driven patterns.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust, security, governance and scalable platform standards.

Responsabilidades

• Define and own the architectural vision, roadmap, standards for a multi-product Azure platform.
• Architect scalable, secure, observable distributed systems for millions of transactions.
• Lead architecture for event-driven microservices with DDD, API-first design, CQRS.
• Design platform for Web UI (Angular/React), Mobile (iOS/Android), APIs, IoT devices.
• Ensure secure ingestion, processing, and telemetry at scale for IoT traffic.
• Establish guardrails, reusable frameworks, and engineering standards across teams.
• Drive architecture governance, API and data governance, and security collaboration.
• Mentor engineers and drive platform observability, monitoring, and incident readiness.
