Job summary
Schnabel Engineering is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to design, build, secure, and operate cloud infrastructure and data platforms in Microsoft Azure. This role emphasizes cloud resilience, security architectures, automation, and modern data services within an enterprise setting.
Ideal candidates will have hands-on Azure expertise, Entra ID/security, and experience delivering production cloud solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT infrastructure, cloud engineering or systems administration
- 3+ years designing and supporting Microsoft Azure environments
- Azure certification (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Security Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect)
- Experience with Azure Disaster Recovery, VPNs, and hybrid cloud environments
- Experience with IaC using Bicep and Azure security controls
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure infrastructure focusing on availability and security
- Architect and support Azure DR solutions and hybrid workloads
- Manage Azure networking, firewalls, and DMZ architectures in Azure
- Deploy and secure Azure Firewalls, VPNs, and connections to on-prem and third-party environments
- Support AI services integration (Azure AI, AI Foundry) and data governance
