Job summary

Lower Colorado River Authority is seeking an experienced cloud infrastructure professional to support Azure Cloud Infrastructure, including VMs, VNETs, storage, DDoS, WAF, and PaaS services for hosting modern web applications. The role emphasizes security, governance, and migration leadership within a diverse engineering team.

Qualifications

• Nine or more years of experience designing and/or operating networks.
• A degree in information technology, computer science or relevant field; substitution per LCRA guidelines for experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and optimize Azure VMs and supporting infrastructure, including PaaS services for hosting modern web apps.
• Design, implement, and maintain Azure Virtual Networks with secure routing and segmentation.
• Apply strong security and identity practices across Azure resources (RBAC, managed identities, conditional access).
• Manage Azure Storage and backup strategies for data protection and lifecycle management.
• Implement and maintain firewall policies, DDoS protection, and WAF configurations for secure cloud ops.
• Lead and support cloud migration efforts to Azure with minimal downtime.
