Job summary

Megazone Cloud in Irvine, CA is seeking an Intermediate Azure Cloud Engineer to join our Managed Services team on-site. You will manage, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Azure environments for multiple clients, bridging architecture and operations.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on Azure experience, strong scripting, and security-minded practices. Responsibilities include IaC development, cost optimization, disaster recovery testing, and client engagement to report health and status.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on Azure cloud engineering or administration in an MSP or enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Networking, Storage, and security practices.
• Proficient in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Windows/Linux server administration.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and manage Azure resources including Virtual Machines, VNet, Azure SQL, App Services, and Storage Accounts.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and ensure compliance using Azure Policy and Defender for Cloud.
• Monitor performance with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Analyze client cloud spend using Azure Cost Management and provide optimization recommendations.
• Implement and test backup and disaster recovery with Azure Backup and ASR.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, performing RCA and documenting resolutions.
• Interface with clients to understand technical requirements and provide updates on infrastructure health and project status.
