Job summary

Insight Global in Sacramento is looking for an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and govern Microsoft Azure cloud environments with landing zones and robust security.

You will lead VMware-to-Azure migrations, Azure tenant migrations, and modernization efforts, while implementing Entra ID, CA, MFA, PIM, and Zero Trust. Automation with PowerShell, Terraform, or Bicep is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT infrastructure engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Azure administration and engineering experience.
• Experience migrating workloads from VMware to Azure in production settings.
• Experience with Azure Migrate, Site Recovery, and cloud adoption frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Security Center/Defender and protective controls.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation and orchestration.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, hybrid identity, and Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure including landing zones and governance.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization projects: VMware-to-Azure and tenant migrations.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) with security controls like CA, MFA, PIM, and Zero Trust.
• Develop cloud automation and IaC using PowerShell, Azure Automation, Terraform, and/or Bicep.
• Ensure performance, availability, security, and resiliency of Azure environments; monitor and troubleshoot.
