Job summary

Bayforce is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive a cloud modernization initiative, migrating an on‑prem OpenShift environment to Microsoft Azure. You will leverage Azure, Terraform, CI/CD, and Kubernetes to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.

You will contribute to designing Azure architecture, maintain IaC, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure production readiness and automation improvements.

Qualifications

• Azure Cloud experience, enterprise migration focus.
• Hands-on Terraform, CI/CD and Kubernetes capabilities.
• Familiar with Java and React application layers.
• Nice to have: .NET/C#, Angular, Helm charts.

Responsibilities

• Migrate an on-prem OpenShift app to Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Design, build, and implement secure, scalable Azure solutions.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps with Kubernetes in Azure.
• Collaborate across development, cloud, security, and ops teams.
• Understand existing Java and React apps and deployments.
• Evaluate OpenShift configurations and design Azure architecture.
• Troubleshoot migration issues across the stack.
• Create specs, docs, and deployment procedures.
• Participate in testing, performance optimization, and production readiness.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, reliability, security.
• Provide technical guidance to other engineers.
• Adhere to security, risk, and regulatory standards.
