IPTA Technology Solutions (IPTA) in Austin, TX is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to help build and secure the Army Data Science Environment on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate with data scientists, developers, cybersecurity teams, and SMEs to design scalable, compliant cloud services and automated deployments.

Responsibilities include implementing IaC with Terraform, ARM, and Bicep; deploying containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes; and enhancing observability with Azure

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps roles.
Experience designing and deploying solutions in Microsoft Azure.
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment pipelines.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
Knowledge of secure cloud architecture and cybersecurity best practices.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Active Security clearance required.
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep)
Kubernetes and container platforms
CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps)
Python or PowerShell automation
Monitoring and observability platforms such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana
Identity and access management using Azure Active Directory

Responsibilities

Build and secure Azure cloud platform for Army DSE.
Enable data scientists and analytic teams to deploy AI/ML models and analytics tools.
Automate cloud infrastructure and platform services using DevSecOps and IaC.
Improve reliability, scalability, and observability of enterprise data platforms.
Support containerized analytic workloads used by Army organizations.
Design secure architectures and automated compliance capabilities within DoD cloud environments.
Collaborate with developers, data engineers, data scientists, and cybersecurity teams.
Document technical solutions, architecture decisions, and procedures.
