Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to build, automate, and support Azure cloud environments for modern application, data, and AI workloads. Focus on infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, and secure cloud resource management at enterprise scale.

Ideal candidates will have strong Azure infrastructure depth, AKS, containers, PostgreSQL, storage services, CI/CD, and cloud security, turning repeatable patterns into reliable automation while supporting teams in secure cloud

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
• Hands-on Azure production/enterprise experience.
• Strong infrastructure as code experience (Bicep preferred, Terraform valued).
• Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and containers; deployment automation.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain Azure resources across managed resource groups.
• Develop reusable infrastructure as code using Bicep, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Support AKS clusters, workloads, access, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Manage Azure PostgreSQL, ADLS Gen2 storage, containers, registries, and related services.
• Host emerging platform components like vector or graph databases and AI data tools.
• Implement secure-by-default cloud patterns (RBAC, private networking, secrets management).
• Collaborate with application, data, platform, and security teams to design scalable infra.
• Support Git-based release flows, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and runbooks.
• Monitor reliability, performance, cost, and security posture; document standards.
