Job summary

Mondo seeks an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable Azure solutions for a large enterprise. This remote contract role emphasizes migration of on-prem workloads, cloud-native patterns, and advanced analytics via AI services.

You will lead technical teams, implement IaC with Terraform, and ensure cost-effective, compliant operations. The role requires strong PowerShell/Python scripting, experience with AKS/Docker, and a track record of delivering

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or operations with a focus on Microsoft Azure in large enterprise environments.
• Strong background in automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for IaC and GitHub for source control and automation pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement AI/ML resources and workflows on Azure.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization (e.g., AKS, Docker).
• Associate's degree in any field.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement Azure-based solutions for large-scale enterprise operations.
• Lead cloud transformation initiatives including migration of on-prem workloads to Azure and adoption of cloud-native services.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform and GitHub for CI/CD automation.
• Design and deploy AI and data services on Azure for analytics and automation use cases.
• Ensure solutions are secure, compliant, highly available, and cost-optimized.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure services with existing systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams and partners.
• Document designs, standards, and procedures and stay updated with Azure innovations.
