Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Cloud Computing Engineer Principal to lead Azure cloud architecture and DevOps processes for VA Healthcare. The candidate will design, implement, and secure cloud services, while enabling CI/CD and scalable cloud modernization.

Remote position with U.S. citizenship required. The ideal candidate has 20+ years of experience, public trust clearance, and strong leadership in cloud governance and HIPAA/FedRAMP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field is required.
• Extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing Azure infrastructure.
• Strong background in CI/CD and automation for cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Create data flow, cloud, and transition diagrams for cloud infrastructure and systems.
• Design, develop, deploy, and operate automation for CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage permissions and secure cloud resources across VA EC environments.
• Implement monitoring and ensure compliance with VA/Federal policies.
• Provide cloud support and enable provisioning of VA Enterprise Cloud environments.
