Job summary

Independent Software is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer in the United States. You will lead design, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise-level Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud solutions, directing secure, scalable environments and complex migrations.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least one current Microsoft Azure certification.
• Active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph clearance required.
• Experience leading enterprise Azure/M365 migrations and governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy enterprise-grade Azure environments, including hybrid and multi-region solutions.
• Lead Microsoft 365 integrations involving Entra ID, SSO, CA, DLP, and Defender.
• Plan and execute large migrations from on-premises to Azure and Microsoft 365, including AD, email, and file shares.
• Implement IaC using ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, or PowerShell DSC.
• Establish and manage cloud governance policies, cost optimization, tagging, and policy enforcement.
• Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex Azure and M365 issues across compute, networking, identity, and productivity services.
• Mentor junior and intermediate cloud engineers and contribute to training and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with Azure and M365 technologies, recommend improvements, and adopt cloud best practices.
