Job summary

Valiant Technologies LLC in Illinois is seeking an experienced API Architect to design and implement enterprise API solutions using Azure API Management (APIM).

You will establish API governance, security standards, and policies, design secure integrations with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Event Grid, and automate deployments with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise API solutions with APIM.
• Strong knowledge of IaC and cloud security.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• Ability to implement CI/CD with Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API standards.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Bicep / ARM Templates)
• Architect, design, and implement enterprise API solutions using Azure API Management (APIM).
• Establish API governance standards, lifecycle management, and security best practices.
• Develop APIM policies including authentication, authorization, rate limiting, transformation, caching, and routing.
• Design secure integrations using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, and other Azure Integration Services.
• Implement enterprise authentication using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and Azure Entra ID.
• Build scalable, highly available, and secure microservices-based integration architectures.
• Automate deployments using Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates).
• Collaborate with cloud, application, infrastructure, and security teams to define API strategies and integration standards.
• Monitor API performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize API gateway configurations.
• Ensure enterprise compliance, governance, and security standards across Azure environments.
