An established university is seeking enthusiastic tour guides to represent student life and provide engaging campus tours. This role involves extensive training in social skills and public speaking, ensuring that guides are well-prepared to share their experiences and insights with visitors. Tour guides will work flexible shifts, showcasing the vibrant campus atmosphere while mingling with diverse groups. Title: AY25-26 Tour Guide (Non-Work Study)
Tour guides are the first impression visitors to campus get of student life at BSU. They receive extensive ongoing training in social skills, public speaking, diversity, and all aspects of our university.
Once trained, Tour Guides are assigned several weekly shifts that involve mingling with a diverse group of guests and giving several daily campus tours to prospective students and their families. Tour guides also staff tours in conjunction with Admissions events. In addition, they assist with administrative tasks within the Office of Admission.
Daily tour guide shifts:
Monday-Friday 9:30-11:30am and 2:30-4:30pm.
Other shifts include group tours, Saturday tours, twilight tours, Fall Preview Days, Admitted Student Day, and other events as needed.
Please include a copy of your availability/class schedule Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM in your application.
Traverse around campus for 1-2 hours on each shift or longer during events.
