Title AY25-26 Graduate Assistant - Middle East and North Africa Studies (MENA) Grant

Position Description

The Graduate Assistant (GA) will work 20 hours per week and receive up to 24 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 9 for fall, 9 for spring and 6 for summer.

Responsibilities/Duties:
The Middle East and North Africa ( MENA ) division is seeking a student who can commit 20 hours per week to assist with the following duties:

  • assist faculty in setting up meetings, discussions, seminars, and conferences
  • coordinating with the Advisory Group ( MENA ) faculty in assisting the “International Conference on Education” held annually
  • the ability to prepare brochures, PowerPoint, and graphs from data, as needed
  • assisting with posting scholarship opportunities for students on the MENA website and blog site
  • assisting with the upkeep of records, expenses, and other miscellaneous items.
  • willing to do research and present at the end of the semester “Symposiums”.
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Should have the ability to prepare brochures, PowerPoint, graphs from data.
  • Knowledgeable to modify web pages and maintain the MENA website up-to-date.
  • Skills to analyze and compute data from primary and secondary sources.
  • Good writing and analytical skills.
