Title AY25-26 Graduate Assistant - Marketing and Recruitment

Position Description

The Graduate Assistant (GA) will work 20 hours per week and receive up to 24 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 9 for fall, 9 for spring and 6 for summer.

Overview

A Graduate Assistant in the Marketing and Recruitment office of the College of Graduate Studies will play a key role in supporting the marketing and recruitment efforts aimed at attracting prospective applicants to the graduate programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the marketing and recruitment initiatives that help showcase the College of Graduate Studies’ programs and connect with potential students.

Responsibilities

These duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of marketing strategies designed to engage prospective graduate applicants.
  • Assist in the collection of prospective candidate information.
  • Aid in the planning and implementation of direct marketing campaigns, ensuring communication with prospective applicants is clear, timely, and effective.
  • Help maintain and update marketing databases to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Provide support at recruitment events, both virtual and in-person, engaging with prospective students and promoting the College’s graduate programs.
  • Contribute to content creation for various communication channels, including email, social media, and print materials.
  • Conduct relevant research and analysis regarding prospective and current students.
  • Collaborate with team members on new initiatives and continuously improve outreach efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Students in the Public Relations, MA or MBA programs preferred
  • Experience using Canva and various social media platforms
  • The graduate assistant should be skilled with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook and Word)
