Job summary

Barclays is seeking an Axiom Developer, AVP to design, develop, and improve software using engineering methodologies for platform and regulatory reporting tools. You will convert business requirements into technical specifications and develop report templates with Axiom scripts.

You will support U.S. Federal Reserve Bank mandatory report automation, perform electronic submission testing, and help with data communication across reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high‑quality software solutions using industry‑aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and integrate solutions with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews, promote code quality, and share knowledge among peers.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and contribute to internal technology communities.
• Adhere to secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing.
• Design, develop, and tune Axiom regulatory reporting tools, including data sources, models, report objects, and XML scripting.

• Work in a hybrid environment, with occasional telecommuting as permitted.

Compensation

• Minimum salary: $160,805 per year
• Maximum salary: $175,000 per year
• Eligible for incentive award.
