Job summary

Talan Group in New York City is seeking an Axiom Business Analyst with deep AxiomSL (ControllerView) expertise to support FR 2052a and FR Y-15 reporting at a major bank. Hybrid work arrangement requires at least 3 days onsite per week.

You'll run gap analyses, translate regulatory language into BRDs/FRDs, and partner with Finance, Data teams, and BI to ensure complete, accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Finance/Accounting or similar.
• 10+ years as a Business Analyst in a CIB.
• Hands-on time in AxiomSL (ControllerView).
• At least one full lifecycle FR 2052a or FR Y-15 implementation at a major bank.
• Solid grounding in financial products.
• Comfortable with PowerBI and SQL and large data sets.
• Strong communicator and natural leader with drive to finish.

Responsibilities

• Run a full GAP analysis on data for FR 2052a and FR Y-15.
• Meet with Finance teams to understand products and reporting needs.
• Tell data architects which data to source across transactions, counterparty, collateral, or balance sheet.
• Translate Fed language into BRDs and FRDs for execution.
• Map data from sources into Axiom ODS and consolidated model.

We're looking for an Axiom Business Analyst who knows AxiomSL (ControllerView) inside out and has actually shipped FR 2052a or FR Y-15 reporting at a major bank before, not just read about it.

Role and responsibilities

• Run a full GAP analysis on our data setup against what FR 2052a and FR Y-15 actually require, pinpointing where fields are missing, granularity falls short, or quality breaks down
• Sit with Finance business teams to really understand our products, then connect the dots to what the reports need
• Tell data architects and upstream teams exactly which data to go get, whether that's transactional, counterparty, collateral, or balance sheet data
• Turn dense Fed regulatory language into BRDs and FRDs that people can actually work from
• Map data step by step from source systems into the Axiom ODS and consolidated data model

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, Accounting, or similar
• 10+ years as a Business Analyst in a CIB
• Real hands-on time in AxiomSL (ControllerView)
• At least one full lifecycle implementation of FR 2052a or FR Y-15 at a major bank, this is a must
• Solid grounding in financial products
• Comfortable in PowerBI and SQL, and used to working with large, messy data sets
• Strong communicator and natural leader, someone who can push a topic to the finish line
