Pratt & Whitney seeks a Machine Operator 1 to set up and run production machines, read process sheets, and maintain quality on the shop floor in Middletown, PA. This onsite role requires basic math, blueprint interpretation, and safe handling of measuring devices.
Candidate will operate various equipment (90% of time on the line), document results, and participate in daily walks around the line. Onsite training may occur on a different shift as needed.

Machine Operator 1’s activities require the ability to operate a variety of production machines. Machines may include: CMM, polish wheel, grinding machines, EDM, etc. This position will require performing routine operations. Hiring for AWW1 shift but may be required to train on a different shift.
Read and interpret process sheets. undefined Deburr and clean parts. Make minor offset changes (if required) with oversight. Frequently utilize measuring devices and assess product acceptance based on blueprint specification(s). Perform preventative maintenance and document results. Complete Daily Walk Around (DWA) and utilize communication logs. The person in this position will frequently move about the machine line to operate various manufacturing equipment (approximately 90% of the time). Transport product and/or equipment weighing up to 10 pounds. Must be able to run all equipment in the entire work loop and produce products at rate per standard work. May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills.
This position is classified as Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
