Job summary

True Zero Technologies is seeking a seasoned IT Infrastructure professional to build and scale virtual desktop solutions and cloud integrations in a veteran-owned environment.

You will connect AWS WorkSpaces to AD, enforce security policies, and optimize costs while ensuring reliable performance across Windows and Linux deployments. A 5+ year background in EUC/VDI and AWS services is required, with strong scripting abilities in PowerShell or Python.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT infrastructure, EUC or VDI required.
• Experience with AWS WorkSpaces or similar VDI solutions is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of core AWS services: VPC, IAM, KMS, Directory Service, CloudWatch.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale virtual desktop solutions, choose OS bundles and resource needs.
• Connect AWS WorkSpaces to AD and identity providers like Microsoft Entra ID.
• Enforce security policies, MFA, AWS KMS encryption, and VPC-based access controls.
• Monitor uptime, automate patching with AWS Systems Manager, and optimize costs.
• Implement MFA, SAML 2.0 federation with IdPs like Okta, Ping, or EntraID.
• Enforce encryption-at-rest using AWS KMS for root and user volumes.
• Design and manage packaging and delivery solutions (WAM, AppStream 2.0, GPOs) to streamline deployments.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and scale virtual desktop solutions, choose operating system bundles (Windows/Linux), and set compute or storage needs.
• Connect AWS WorkSpaces to Active Directory (Simple AD, Managed Microsoft AD, or on-premises AD) and identity providers like Microsoft Entra ID.
• Enforce security policies, multi-factor authentication (MFA), AWS KMS encryption, and network access rules via Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs).
• Monitor system uptime, automate patching with AWS Systems Manager, troubleshoot connection issues, and optimize costs (hourly or monthly billing
• Implement robust multi-factor authentication (MFA), SAML 2.0 federation with Identity Providers (IdPs likeOkta,Ping, orMicrosoftEntraID), and strict network access controls.
• Enforce encryption-at-rest usingAWSKeyManagementService(KMS)for root and user volumes, and ensure streaming protocol security(PCoIPandAmazon DCV).
• Design and manage application packaging and delivery solutions (e.g., Amazon WAM, AppStream 2.0, or traditional group policies) to streamline software deployments.

Job Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT infrastructure, End User Computing (EUC), or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong grasp of core AWS services (VPC, IAM, KMS, Directory Service, CloudWatch).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, Direct Connect, and streaming protocols like PCoIP or DCV.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or AWS CLI for bulk user provisioning and management
