Job summary

D2 Consulting is seeking an AWS System Administrator to manage Enterprise Cross-Domain Systems and related projects. You will ensure the availability, performance, and security of our cloud-based AWS infrastructure, handling day-to-day administration and maintenance.

This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Poly within 6 months, DoD 8140/8570 II certification, and a bachelor’s degree in a technical field. The salary range is $130,000–$140,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold DoD 8140.01 / DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification.
• Active TS/SCI clearance (must obtain a CI Poly within 6 months of start date) U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS resources: EC2, EBS, VPCs, security groups, and IAM roles.
• Monitor performance metrics and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime.
• Implement security best practices: access control, encryption, vulnerability management.
• Automate tasks with Python/Bash and AWS tools (AWS CLI, CloudFormation).
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to AWS infrastructure and applications.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures for AWS resources.
• Stay current with AWS services and best practices.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams.
