Job Title: AWS Senior DevOps Engineer

Join our team at Inherent Technologies as an AWS Senior DevOps Engineer. This role is part of our growing Infrastructure Automation Team within Public Cloud, working closely with various infrastructure teams (Security, Networking, Database, Unix) to develop, deploy, and support cloud and hybrid applications. The ideal candidate will possess senior-level skills in DevOps, AWS, and interpersonal communication, with strong leadership, teamwork, and customer service abilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Utilize AWS to deploy highly available, scalable, and secure applications.
2. Assist in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud-based IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
3. Design, develop, and implement automation for continuous delivery and integration.
4. Consult with application teams to build pipelines and integrate cloud services.
5. Develop platform engineering and automation for cloud service governance and application autonomy.
6. Automate workflows for application release and upgrades across environments.
7. Collaborate with Security and Identity Teams on RBAC and related processes.
8. Design and develop cloud infrastructure governance, including technical controls and cost management.
9. Create and maintain support documentation and standards.
10. Develop automated deployment methodologies, configuration management, and supporting systems.
11. Manage work using Jira throughout the development lifecycle.
12. Analyze and improve deployment processes proactively.
13. Investigate and resolve issues in production environments.
14. Drive compliance and security initiatives within the team.

Skills and Experience

1. 5+ years of experience in AWS.
2. AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.
3. Experience designing secure architectures for internet-facing systems.
4. Strong understanding of cloud computing, including K8S, Containers, Serverless, Microservices.
5. Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and CI/CD tools like Bitbucket and Bamboo.
6. Knowledge of networking, protocols, and distributed systems.
7. Experience building resilient, scalable cloud systems.
8. Experience with cloud cost optimization.
9. Proficiency in Python and AWS CLI.
10. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile tools (Jira, Confluence).
11. Background in software development is a plus.
12. Understanding of financial markets and Azure experience are additional pluses.
13. Educational background: BA/BS in STEM or related fields; Master’s degree is a plus.
