Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking an AWS Java Full Stack Engineer for a full-time role, with hybrid work locations in Raleigh, Plano, or Richardson.

You will contribute to the full SDLC, design discussions, coding, testing, and production support, while delivering scalable software solutions. The role requires strong Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and REST API skills, plus front-end experience with Angular and UI development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required.
• Experience with Java full stack development and modern stack.
• Proficiency in AWS core services and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation and document business requirements.
• Facilitate design discussions and document design decisions for the technical team.
• Participate in coding and integrate features into existing apps while maintaining stability.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies and coordinate bug fixes to ensure quality.
• Develop user training, documentation, and support frameworks for smooth transitions.
• Resolve production issues and suggest preventive reliability improvements.
• Maintain records of code, testing, and support activities for the knowledge base.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable software integration.

Immediate need for a talented AWS Java Full Stack Engineer. This is a Full-Time opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Plano, TX OR Raleigh, NC OR Richardson (Hybrid).

Pay Range: $115000 - $120000/annum. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects
• A collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills.
• The ability to handle end to end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to implementation.
• A knack for translating complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
• A passion for design and hands-on coding experience
• A proactive approach to testing, troubleshooting, and refining our applications.
• The ability to work with cross-functional teams and do software integration.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills- Java, Springboot, Microservices, AWS
• Experience in Java Full Stack development
• Experience and good knowledge of technologies like Spring, Spring boot, Micro services, REST API"s and Angular
• Experience in Rest Webservices and UI
• Experience in AWS Core services
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.
